Nicholas Tonti-Filippini, “Gender Reassignment and Catholic Schools,” National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly, Spring 2012. (accessed June 16, 2017) – The Associate Dean, John Paul II Institute, Melbourne responds to two Catholic schools’ cases of a student and a teacher preparing to undergo sex reassignment. He addresses the multiple concerns of the well-being of the affected student/ teacher, the ethical implications of typical treatment, the privacy issues, the effects on other students and staff, and the effects on a teacher’s ability to give faithful witness to Catholic teaching. Excellent example of the pastoral application of orthodox Catholic anthropology.
